The Crone

As women we are often taught to fear aging. In society our value is diminished as we age out of our youthful beauty and our caretaking role. But the Crone, otherwise known as the Hag or the Wise Woman, will tell you there is nothing to fear. With age women gain strength, clarity, creativity, and wisdom.

When a woman does not fear the aging process and stops fighting the natural progression into her next phase of life, she steps into her power. Embracing our Crone era makes us fierce.

The Crone is a punk. She cuts through the bullshit of life. She is not afraid. She will challenge the system. She will tell it like it is. She will sift through the rubbish and find a diamond. The crone is a crow. She is wise, crafty, sharp, and bold. She knows the dark and the light, embraces both. She doesn’t need your permission. The Crone holds wisdom and insight. She is strong and fierce. She is untethered from the desire to be pleasing. She is free from the responsibilities of caretaking others. She is obedient to no one. The Crone is female autonomy, self knowledge, and wisdom. Embrace her.
