BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY
I take a flexible, integrative approach to coaching that allows me to tailor the process to meet your unique needs and goals. Drawing from my training and experience, I integrate practical, solution-focused strategies (e.g. setting achievable, measurable goals, problem solving, skills training) with psychological analysis, dream work, reading assignments, storytelling and artistic creation (e.g. collage, vision boards, writing exercises).
What to expect
Sessions take place online and last approximately 50 minutes. At the start of the coaching process, I prefer to meet on a weekly basis in order to build a strong working relationship and to jump start your journey. The frequency of sessions then may decrease to once a fortnight or once a month as you gain confidence and achieve your goals, eventually leading to sessions on an as-needed basis. My ultimate goal as a coach is for you to reach a place where you feel you no longer need me but know that you are welcome to return should a new challenge emerge or should you need a booster session to reinforce your progress.
Personal coaching begins with a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your goals, to answer any questions you may have, and to create a rough plan for how we would go about meeting those goals together in order to ensure that we are a good fit for coaching.
My Approach
My background
I am an American chartered clinical psychologist living in London with my family since 2018. I was born and raised in rural Missouri and as an adult I have lived in 11 cities and 3 countries and visited many more. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 2010 and I worked as a psychotherapist at Stanford University, University of Washington, Rhode Island College and Emory University, as well as in a variety of community mental health settings, before immigrating to the United Kingdom and opening my coaching practice.
In addition to being a wellbeing coach, I am an artist. I believe in the power of creativity to connect us with our deepest and most authentic selves. Creativity can take many forms (painting/drawing, cooking/baking, photography, fashion, music, collage, movement/dance, writing, acting, etc.) and is unique to each individual. I will often suggest my clients engage in some form of creative expression as we work toward achieving their goals.
I have always had a desire to make a difference in the lives of women. Women face unique challenges and circumstances in life and we bring a valuable perspective and skill set to the world. It is a true honour to help women become their strongest most authentic selves as they work toward their dreams.
